The Ondula emerges from a singular obsession: to make light tangible. Its form is a globe — wrapped in forty helical ribs that twist continuously from three conical feet to its crown. When unlit, it reads as sculpture: a study in quiet tension, each ridge casting a precise shadow against the one beside it. When switched on, the lamp transforms entirely. Warm amber light seeps between the ribs and scatters across surfaces in rhythmic, shifting bands that shift as you move around the piece. The feet are deliberate — three tapered cones, slightly spread, lifting the globe just far enough off the surface to let light pool beneath it. No hardware is visible from the front. No switch interrupts the silhouette. **The Material** Each shade is printed layer by layer in premium PLA bioplastic — a plant-derived material that is biodegradable, dimensionally stable, and chosen for its exceptional light-diffusion properties. The warm ivory tone was arrived at through twelve material tests: enough opacity to diffuse light evenly, not so much that the ribs lose their sculptural definition in shadow. **Made in India** The Ondula takes fourteen hours to produce on precision-calibrated equipment. Every rib is examined by hand after printing.
